I am a mother of two beautiful children, a boy 7 and a little girl age 5. i dropped out of college in 2001, without completing mty freshman year. Some people believe that i did it and didn't have to, but i honestly felt that I had to pick and choose at that time. I am a goal oriented person and I have always wanted nothing more than to succeed and be established. I find school to be liberating and exciting (oddly enough). At that time I knew that I had to supprt my child (only had one at the time of dropping out) and I had trouble working full time and attending school full time. I had no support from my family and all I had was Jaesen, my son. I have gone through a lot, before I graduated from high school in 2000 my brother died and he took a part of me with him. Over the years after having another child, i had to reevaluate me and my life, and I knew that the way I was living was not what I wanted for myself, and especially not my children. I tried to go back to school and I failed, but then I moved back to the town where I initially attended college and I met some awesome people. One in particular, told me of her own child and gave me his number. They told me about some really bad things that he'd been through and he still managed to get his degree and now works for a prestigious university. I knew right then and there that I can do this, so I submitted the necessary documents for resubmission back into the univery I had attended, and now here I am going into my sophomore year of college. I felt weird at first, but everyone, even the young teens said that it is the fact that I am here that matters most, and you know what that is definitely true. I am here, I am a sophomore and I wanted to cry because I can officailly say that I will never be a freshman again.

I am a great person, I talk a lot but I love to listen too. I am a debater but it is all in good taste. I like to challenge people, and see if what they are saying is because they know why they believe in it, or just to be saying it. Normally, it is because they just wanted to, but it gives them and myself a better understanding of where the other individual is coming from.

I love to sing and write, and be me. At this time in my life I am beginning to search careers, and am taking the steps in establishing my businesses, and making a name for myself.

At the same time I a raising my children alone, and am glad that I have been able to live versus assuming what it is like, because by the time I am 30 I will have a lot going for me, and to be able to say that “I DID IT” is a reward all in its own……
